ASCE's just released the names of its Top 10 New Faces in Civil Engineering Professionals and we're proud to announce one of our own, Don Nguyen has made the list. ASCE's been celebrating rising stars in the civil engineer world since 2003. Recipients must be under 30 and have already accomplishing great things. At 27, Don has already achieved and given back so much.

Currently located in our Seattle office, he's been involved in the ASCE throughout his university and professional career and is currently the President-Elect of the Young Member Forum (YMF) of the Seattle Section. With a passion for engineering, popsicle stick bridge building, mentoring, and giving back to his community, Don's contributions to the engineering world are just beginning. He is also the 2017 Puget Sound Engineering Council's (PSEC) Young Engineer of the Year. In 2016, he was also recognized with the WRYMC Outstanding Younger Member in Community Activities Award, as well as the DiscoverE Outstanding Volunteer Award. With a detailed and varied background in volunteering, Don has been instrumental in organizing project site tours, helping at career fairs, Habitat for Humanity build days and Farestart, an organization that feeds the needy and provides cooking training to those in need of work.

Recently accredited as an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and a Greenroads Sustainable Transportation Professional Level 2 (STP L2) – one of only a handful of people in the world to have this designation - Don is leading the way in sustainable practices at COWI North America.

We're proud of his achievements and proud he's part of our team at COWI North America. Congratulations Don.
